Near-UV (310 nm) through near-IR (1,100 nm); full human-visible band included
Lens Technology
Sa-derived quantum-dot matrix coating; harvests photons beyond human-visible range
Magnification
Up to 16x optical, companion-controlled; variable zoom by neural command
Companion Dependency
Inert for non-HumanSo; companion translates raw photon data into synthesized imagery for the visual cortex
Image Stabilization
Real-time atmospheric wavefront correction by companion neural processing; eliminates heat shimmer and turbulence
Power Source
Integrated photovoltaic strip recessed into solid brow frame; continuous operation in ambient light
Form Factor
Wraparound shield; solid brow bar, prominent nose bridge; unremarkable to unaugmented observers
Color Variants
Standard issue: black. Personal configurations documented in the field: Fran Masters (red frame), LR Sims (turquoise frame). Lens spectral shift remains consistent across all variants.
Photon Capture Range vs. Human Baseline · Neural Translation Pathway
Multispec glasses appear unremarkable to unaugmented observers; the spectral shift in the lens matrix is visible only at oblique angles. The quantum-dot coating is Sa-derived: humans cannot manufacture or replicate it independently. Non-HumanSo wearing the frames perceive only ordinary optical glass. All zoom, spectrum-band selection, and image enhancement commands are issued by the companion through the neural induction contact at the temple; no manual controls exist. Standard issue frames are black; personal configurations are documented in the field — Fran Masters wears a red frame, LR Sims a turquoise frame.
